Eastern Cape families seeking something fun to do over the last weekend of the school holidays will find it at The Herald First Choice Kids and Baby Expo this weekend.

The Eastern Cape’s biggest family expo is a one-stop venue for entertainment, shopping, sampling, services and information. All-day entertainment is available for kids while parents may discover the latest and greatest in products and services.

The expo takes place at The Boardwalk’s Exhibition Level from this Friday to Sunday.

Doors are open from 9am to 5pm daily.

“Our expo offers fun for the entire family – great entertainment for the kids, an informative break for parents to speak one on one with top family-friendly brands and local businesses, and the chance to take advantage of many expo specials,” expo director Linda Harwood says.

“Whether you are pregnant for the first time or have a fully-fledged family, there is something for everyone.”

Visitors will receive a goody bag with flavoured milk for the little ones and a free magazine.

There will be nearly 100 exhibitors, from top private schools and healthcare professionals, to decor, furniture, kids’ clothing, photography, crafts and toys – along with giveaways and special offers.

Live entertainment will include puppet shows, an animal and reptile show, and daily fashion shows.

There’s cricket, rugby, a pedal kart track and the Muna Bike Park for kids to play in, as well as an arts and crafts creative area with sand-art, face painting and other activities.

Toddlers are catered for in the Kidz Play Park at Windsor.

Entrance is R40 for adults and R20 for kids and pensioners, with babies under 12 months attending for free.

Tickets will be sold at the entrance to the expo this weekend.
