Today is World Cancer Day. The purpose of the day is to save millions of preventable deaths each year by raising awareness and education about the disease. Zest writer Estelle Ellis talks to GVI Oncology social worker Mariana Lourens about some of the key messages of the day 

HEARING the news “you have cancer” can be some of the most frightening words anyone may have to hear. One may feel scared, angry, confused, or hope that it’s all been a big mistake if one is receiving such news.
