FORGET Cinderella . . . La Femme is going to the ball! We are thrilled to offer five readers each a double ticket to a La Femme table of 10 guests at the glamorous Belle Epoque fashion extravaganza presented by top Bay designer Jason Kieck next month.

“This year it’s going to be absolutely phenomenal!” Kieck promised this week. “The theme of Belle Epoque is very feminine and very beautiful, and the hair and make-up will also be designed to follow through and fit the theme of the clothes.”

He will be using a palette of ivory, blush, cinnamon, rose and black, with fabrics such as lace and chiffon featuring cinched waists and “fluid fashion” to add to the theme.

And, with ticket prices starting at R800 a head for a seat at a gold table, and going up to R1 500 for a seat next to the stage and catwalk, the up-market evening will have a strict black tie dress code: tuxedos for men, evening gowns for women.

“Mr Fantastic” Ian von Memerty will MC the evening at which award-winning violin group Sterling EQ will play.

Igazi Foundation PR Cole Cameron said this was the second year Kieck had made the blood cancer charity the beneficiar y.

“This is fashion with heart, we know that the people of Port Elizabeth have beauty within as they supported us so well last year, ” he said.

“A special signature Belle Epoque chocolate is being created for the event,” Cameron said.
