IMAGINE a young woman with her lips painted by Mac; her legs poured into tight leather trousers; her body hair shaved or plucked; her fringe cut just so, her walk perfected to a swagger; who’ll willingly take the drink bought for her by a good-looking stranger; who’ll order the low-cal salad because she likes her slim body; who’ll dress to attract attention, to hold a room, to intimidate.
She must never criticise a woman’s outfit or life choice, or the size of her body, or collude with a man over his “mad” ex. – The Daily Telegraph
- Hot Feminist by Polly Vernon is published by Hodder and Stoughton.
