Montagu beef stew with peaches

WINTER is not the time for salads and cold meats – warm up your family with a pot of beef stew, using Montague yellow cling peaches for a sweet and tangy meal that is full of comfort.

This recipe is from Montagu Dried Fruit and Nuts and serves four.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 750 g cubed beef Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 30-45ml oil
  • 2 onions,
  • quartered 2 cloves garlic,
  • crushed 3 sticks celery,roughly chopped
  • 5ml cinnamon
  • 5ml cumin
  • 5ml ground coriander
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 375-500ml beef stock
  • 250g Montagu yellow peaches
  • 125ml Montagu raw almonds
  • Fresh coriander and
  • mint
