Pemads stage set for 'Snow White' musical with twist

ONE of the most celebrated tales of all time will soon take to the Port Elizabeth stage in an exciting, magical, colourful adventure like never before. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has been reignited with 21st-century energy in the latest Pemads music comedy extravaganza, Snow White: The Modern Musical Pantomime.

Following the adventures of the classic tale, you'll meet new characters, see outrageous musical comedy delights and watch biting satirical comedy and amazing performances from unbelievable talents.

It's a truly spectacular production, suitable for young and old alike, brought to life by directors Mark and Yolande Farrow, musical director Richard Campbell and choreographer Andrea Morris, with an original script by Jason Perelson.

Snow White will be played by Amber Burnhams and Tim Collier is the love-struck Prince George, Morris fills the role of the Evil Queen with Bronwyn Maree and Dieter Heydenrych as her two inept henchmen.

Mark Farrow dons a frock once again as the Dame, Nurse Gertie.

Playing the roles of the Seven Dwarfs are Jason Perelson, James van der Merwe, Thando Hanise, Chloe Shelton, Erin-Ashleigh Palmer, Tammi Perelson and Shannon Olivier. The show opens on November 28 after opening pre-sold gala evenings, and runs until December 13 at the Pemads Little Theatre in Belmont Terrace.

For kids and adults alike, this promises to be the showstopper of the year.
