Wonderland of festive cheer

HE may not quite be Father Christmas, but Port Elizabeth resident Arthur Muller makes sure he spreads his own bit of cheer every festive season.

Muller transforms his Framesby Villas townhouse into a "Christmas wonderland" every year, decorating it with themed trees and trinkets he collected while travelling overseas.

Every year, Muller opens his home to the public at a fee and the proceeds go to charity.

"This year someone from Meals on Wheels approached me and asked if I could assist them," Muller said.

Natalie Dil, kennel manager at last year's recipient, Save-a-Pet, said Muller arrived at their premises in January with a cash donation of R3000 as well as cat and dog food. "It was a tremendous help to Save-a-Pet," Dil said.

Viewing is from November 29 to December 13. The entry fee is R20. - Nomazima Nkosi
