Dance hopefuls set to step up

THE last sections of the Port Elizabeth Dance Festival start today and end at the weekend.

Dance lovers are reminded to come out in numbers and witness the three-day annual festival at the Savoy Theatre, featuring dance forms such as tap, modern and hip-hop.

Former professional dancer Brigitte Reeve- Taylor, who has conducted classes all over the world, will adjudicate more than 300 participants in their various styles.

The modern championship takes place tomorrow night and the battle for hip-hop and tap is on Saturday night.

Daytime sessions start at noon and continue throughout the day, with evening sessions starting at 6pm.

The first part of the festival, which featured ballet and national styles, was held last month in the same venue.
