Ciza flies high in new music video

ANYONE witnessing a helicopter hovering above a slick sports car in Nelson Mandela Bay would have been forgiven for thinking a movie was being shot in the metro.

But it was none other than Ciza Tha Journalist shooting his latest music video with some smart big-boy toys.

Ciza has made a name for himself for shooting high-quality music videos that showcase the beauty of the Bay.

Previously he has shot surfers, skydivers and many other fascinating features in Nelson Mandela Bay.

"This time I wanted to do things differently. All my music videos showcase the beauty of the Bay but now I wanted to capture that from above. I am busy shooting a music video for my new single called That Song, which was produced by Vincent Fraser. I did not want to do the video in Johannesburg because Nelson Mandela Bay has a lot to offer," Ciza said.

Given his name, you would be forgiven for thinking he is a news scribe, but he is very much a hip hop artist.

Yesterday, Ciza invited prominent people in the local music industry for a showcase of his music skills at the News Cafe at the Boardwalk.

Businessman Khusta Jack said he was impressed with Ciza's work, especially because it was showing what Nelson Mandela Bay boasts.

Bay TV station manager Lungile Ndevu said: "This is a good initiative. It is good to see local artists succeed and artists need to know their craft and protect themselves. Ciza has great potential and Bay TV will definitely play his music."

Myman Nozewu, the co-owner of Reel Productions, said he was impressed with the quality of Ciza's music videos.

DJ Zol from KQfm said he liked the fact that Ciza had a "never-say-die" attitude. - Yoliswa Sobuwa
