Waltzing down memory lane – without shoes nogal!

IT WAS a busy weekend, with people making their way to Durban for the July and others heading off to Grahamstown for the National Arts Festival.

No wonder PE was a bit quiet – but your Skinnerbek could not just sit around and do nothing.

Last Friday I went to Raymond Mhlaba Care Centre for an event organised by Nedbank. Umhlobo Wenene FM presenter Amaza Ntshanga was there looking all hyped up. Pity I can't say the same about the jumpsuit pants he was wearing.

You know those tracksuit pants – they are definitely not for me – and not for him either! Anyway there was a whole bunch of celebrities from Jozi who acted so surprised that one can get to the airport in 15 minutes. Hello! What do you expect? This is PE, peeps.

After not seeing her for a long time I bumped into the forever sexy Buli G who rocked in her woollen black outfit.

On Saturday, your Gossip Girl was at the CD launch of gospel maestro Lundi Tyamara at Nangoza Jebe Hall. Thembinkosi Booi – remember him? The one who rocked the airwaves at some point with U sathane u jumpa ama fence (Satan is jumping the fence) He was dressed in an all-white outfit. It's good he was given a chance to revive his talent. I hope someone will sign him to a recording company – he is seriously talented. Siya Cembi, owner of Siya & Cassie's Dreadlocks, opted for an all-red outfit. What was this? All red and all white. A medical emergency?

Siya was only too happy to have pics taken with the gospel stars. The hairstyle of the night was a mohawk which I spotted on both the Jeziel brothers and also the main man, Lundi. KQfm DJ Zol was also cool with playing chauffeur to the artists.

Everything became too much for Lundi during his performance as he opted to take off his shoes!

He took us down memory lane, and when he collaborated with gospel singer Sechaba, I nearly confessed all my sins right there and then!

I had to go and cool down at the new chesa nyama place at Seisa Kwa Ace.

The music was good and I also enjoyed the meaty munchies. Look out for its launch, which will be soon. And let's meet again next week with some juicy gossip from the National Arts Festival. Ciao. -  SKINNERBEK
