Weddings and Celebrations: It's our anniversary

MISPAH AND CLAYTON CARELSEN  INFOWARE Studios head of marketing Mispah Janse van Rensburg and SA Canopy mechanical design engineer Clayton Carelsen celebrate their third anniversary this year.

The Parsons Ridge couple, who had been dating since July 2002, married on July 23 2011 at the Radisson Blu.

“Our marriage works because we have a great sense of humour,” Mispah said. “We are committed to never giving up, being best friends, recognising and supporting each other as individuals in the relationship, making each other a priority, and not sweating the small stuff. My husband is inspiring, supportive and committed. He makes me laugh on a daily basis and is my biggest cheerleader.”

FARREN AND MARC FOUTIE 

NMMU School of ICT secretary Farren de Kock and verification clerk Marc Foutie, who celebrate their third anniversary later this year, live by a set of rules. The Kabega Park couple married on December 17 2011 at St Martin de Porres church in Gelvandale. “Our rules include not taking each other for granted and accepting each other for who and what we are,” Farren said. “We always work as a team by trying to have common values when it comes to faith principles, work, honesty, fidelity and we try to inspire one another by consistently trying new things, pursuing higher heights and being the best people we can possibly be.”
