The Savoy Theatre in Perridgevale will be hosting a “lekker jol” from tonight, when the show of classic Afrikaans  pop music hits takes to the stage under the direction of Port Elizabeth’s Gilbert & Sullivan Society.

Draadloos – Afrikaans for “wireless” – will run from this evening to Saturday, and features popular songs dating back decades, as well as up-to-the-minute tunes fresh from the radio.

Director Charl Vollgraaf and musical director, Richard Campbell, have been putting their talented young Draadloos cast through their paces, with songs that range from popular Ge Korsten and Karen Zoid tunes – and more.

Tickets are R80 or R70 per person for bookings of eight or more and R60 for the Saturday matinee.
