Loyiso Bala judges singing show

Singer and TV personality Loyiso Bala has been announced that he’ll be part of the judging panel of a new singing competition show‚ Varsity Sing‚ which is set to air on kykNET.

The Uitenhage born singer will be adding his professional opinion to the show when it makes its debut on Thursday‚ July 14‚ and will have to pick favourites among the 12 university choirs which will battle it out over 13 weeks for top honours in university choral music.

Speaking of this new talent show‚ Francois Pienaar‚ CEO of ASEM explained‚ “TV audiences are going to be inspired and entertained by the best choirs in the country‚ who will take them on an exciting new musical journey. Expect a fusion of traditional‚ contemporary and original choral music in an impressive new showcase.”

The first four rounds‚ including the semi-finals of Varsity Sing‚ will be recorded in front of live audiences and broadcast from July to September. Varsity Sing will culminate in a live musical extravaganza on 13 October‚ where the Varsity Sing champions will be crowned.
