Uviwe fundraiser at the Plantation

Port Elizabeth’s Uviwe Child and Youth Services – formerly Childline – hosted a high tea fundraiser on Thursday, August 25 at The Plantation. Director Anna-Louise Olivier outlined the work Uviwe does for abused, neglected and abandoned children, and The Herald Citizen of the Year 2015 Zodwa Dube shared the story of how her daughter – a ch-ld herself – had challenged her to help others. Guests dressed to the theme of “Curls and Pearls” and Bay entertainer Faye Gatley sang while guests enjoyed their spring brunch from Fat Cats Catering.
