Mason does it for the animals

HAVING witnessed many charities benefiting from funds raised through the Ironman South Africa event, Eastern Province squash player Paul Mason has decided to do his bit for those in need as he undertakes his third race on Sunday.

The 29-year-old Mason, from Port Elizabeth, one of the fittest players on the squash circuit, has thrown his weight behind Animal Welfare and has persuaded a number of companies and businessmen to back his effort.

Explaining the reasoning behind his effort, Mason said: “Having witnessed the great amount of money raised for charities through Ironman SA in the last 10 years, I noticed there weren’t any catering for the animal welfare societies in the region.
