24 March 2015. President Jacob Zuma attended the South African Local Governance Association (SALGA) Conference at Gallagher Estate in Midrand, Johannesburg. He urged municipalities to ensure good governance and effective administration through cutting wastage and spending public funds prudently, but also urged citizens to get up and work for themselves and stop waiting handouts.
